Things that I miss:

1. The original opening credit/title to Grey's Anatomy
2. The show 'Dinosaurs'
3. TGI Fridays on ABC
4. Cartoon Network before it sucked
5. EasyBake Ovens and those ovens you make bugs and junk in (Yes, I know they still have them, but they're not the same semi-hazardous, you could burn your fingers off in a second like they used to be )
6. Trick or Treating
7. Back when touching someone else didn't warrant a registration on a sex offender's list, especially when you're in school.
8. Those really old computers from back in the early nineties that only had a screen that showed up in green and you played educational games on them, such as the original Oregon Trail and Number Munchers
9. The big ass floppy discs that you had to use for said computers, where you had to flip that little lever to lock it into place.
10. Elementary school when the biggest pain in the ass was running the mile and having to memorize the state capitals.
11. Good Movies
12. Musicals.
13. Book series, such as Arthur, American Girl, Animorphs, Boxcar Children (I know they still have them, but back in their hay-day)
14. Monthly school Book Orders.
15. Old fashioned playgrounds with rocks and metal and hard wood. None of this safety plastic, foam junk.
16. Disney Princess Movies
17. Old-Fashioned Disney ANIMATED movies.
18. Road trips were good enough
19. Big hair
20. Good music, Classic music
21. Fold-Down Campers

Conclusion: This episode was BORING. Apparently there is little to no plot anymore.

I am becoming increasingly disappointed with the visuals, as well. If anything we always had original plots and crazy awesome sets. Not anymore.

Is there really any plot here? It looks vaguely like it has a plot but it's all a cover story for the fact that there isn't. One.

Why are we even thinking about sex with a demon? What happened to Dean hating any and all forms of demons and baddies?

Opening:

+Why, look at that. We actually ARE going to touch on prior plot? Amazing.

+That guy they just crossed by really quickly (the first one sitting down to talk to a visitor) kind of looked like Dean.

+Yay, Dean!

+I still don't understand how the hunters know that the Winchesters were at the Hell Gate. I mean, nobody else was there. *sigh*

Part 1:

+Yes, Dean. She is a bitch and you need to kill her.

+This is the most emotion they've shown so far this Season.

+I like when Sam gets angry.

+How long does John's phone ring before the answering machine picks up?

COMMERCIAL TIME – I love how these Disney commercials always show the park as busy, but not stuffed. I don't know about anyone else, but every time I've been there, every time anyone I've known has been there, every time I see ANYTHING about the park, it's stuffed to max with small kids screaming and assholes cutting in line. And God help you if you pay for a Fast Pass. Rich Bastards. I hate you all. Does anyone else think 'Aliens in America' seems a little....racist? They couldn't keep that one show on because it had a pastor speaking to Jesus, but you can have a blatantly racist show aimed towards teenagers? Oh, and I'm sorry but I don't care what anyone says. I. Love. REAPER. Reape and me? We're in love. Deal with it. <3

CONCLUSION: Okay. So. I enjoyed it. Just... only in parts. It got a little too campy in my opinion. Most of the falls and the pen/gun/remote thing was just a little too over the top. But that's just my taste.

Opening

+Surprisingly better opening. Though way too much Ruby. We actually saw the boys. Imagine that.

+That's a scary watch. I'm half hoping the episode is based on that watch.

+That girl seems to need braces.

+Wood work! Zomg. Crazy. Everyone knows the wordworkers are the ones that are evil. With their... awls. and.... sand paper.

+Holy shit. Table saw turns on by itself so you walk towards it and put yourself at eye level? This man is a genius.

+How does that work? The draining. The little mark was something like the size of a quarter, but that girl's face/mouth/sucker is about 5 times

COMMERCIAL TIME-The mini-dean get up just bothers me. No real offspring is going to be that EXACT. Exact hair products, exact jacket with the

exact cut. Hair product and Jackets aren't genetic!

Part 4:

+Of COURSE Mini-Dean is going to save the other children. Mini-Dean is a suck up.

+That is NOT a natural 8 year old.

+When you scream, even as a child, if you're so scared that you're going to scream, you tend to cringe away, flinch, something.

+Ben's going to fucking save the day isn't he?

+Shit this music is horrible.

+Mini Dean's shirt is oddly tight. 8 year olds don't wear that. 8 year olds wear shirts with pokemon on them.

FINAL NOTES:

Just a few little notes.

1. Mini-Dean, I mean Ben, was.... not a normal 8 year old. First of all, the badly written dialogue for him and the fact that they did everything possible to make him seem more Dean-like was odd. The exact same jacket with the same material, general color, and cut. A pound of hair product. Tight t-shirt. Which in and of itself is odd. 8 year olds don't wear tight plain t-shirts. 8 year olds wear shirts with Pokemon and Power Rangers on them. And I just can't get over the jacket and the hair product. No offspring is ever THAT identical to their father/mother!

Jackets and Hair Product are not genetic!

Obviously Suspicious!Dean didn't get the memo.

2. What was up with the music? Horrible "Fighting music" and "Traveling music". It sounded like the horrible generic stuff you get off of the internet royalty free. It was just bad... and distracting.

3. While I still dislike Ruby, I have to admit that her scene in tonight's episode was a million times better than the last episode. I still don't like her though.

4. Apparently Sam lived in a cafe? And only ever bought a plate of fries. Hmm.

Dammit, this makes me kinda like Ruby. My hatred has been redirected toward Bela. Damn Bela.

So here's my posts to the episode discussion over at Television Without Pity. Yet again, I like to have a central place to, well, file all of my stuff. Otherwise I tend to reference things that I can't source and blah blah blah. But here's what I wrote in response to other's comments and to add my own 2 cents.

What. The. Fuck. Was. That.

Really. That could be my least favorite episode ever. Thank god for the Awesomeness that is Bobby. It's a sad, sad day when the fact that it's light enough to see what was going on is the best part of the Season Premiere.

I completely agree. I do believe that they single handedly usurped "Route 666" in my "This Was Shit" File. I really didn't think there could be a more unappealing sex scene. They have proven me wrong. The sad part is that this is a season premiere! Do they really have so little hope for this show or care so little that they didn't even try?

And I agree that Bobby is awesome. He carried this episode for me. The thing that really pissed me off though was that in the credits it was credited as regulars 'Jared Padalecki', 'Jensen Ackles', and 'Katie Cassidy' with Guest Star 'Jim Beaver'. I mean come on. If Jim Beaver can't at least get out of that 'Guest Star' category, at least let him come before Katie Cassidy.

The fact that it was light out was good and bad. Good because it meant less chances of Dean having gratuitous sex. And bad because it was just another instance of the new craptacular cinematography.

Ruby's knife is badass.

I'd have to disagree. While it may be powerful it seems to be a ploy to distract from the fact that she is completely unsuited to be a huntress.

Other Person: "But Eric, she has no muscle mass...."
Eric: "I'll give her a WEAPON! And pretty clothes!"
Other Person: "But Eric, she still needs to be physically able too..."
Eric: "A MAGIC WEAPON. Seriously, just trust me. This is going to be one Serious-Motherfucking-Knife. You're going to see it and go 'Holy Crap, That was so Harry Potter'. Yeah, that's how awesome it will be!"
Other Person: "But Eric...."
Eric: "AWESOME"
Other Person: "Eric, seriously...."
Eric: "AWESOME!"

And I truly hated the horrible ending speech. That should have been the big emotional reveal to Sam about the full entailment of the deal. But did we get a tear jerker? No. We got the Croatoan speech recycled and regurgitated into an unemotional mess of repetitive lines of somebody with a sleeping disorder.

Now we suddenly have the Magic Knife That Could Kill Anything

Did you also notice that there was a surprising lack of blood? I mean, sure a spurt here, a spurt there, and then some standard SPN gore on the knife, but:

1. I'm pretty sure the neck shot and then the through the jaw and probably the tongue would have had epically larger amounts of blood. A knife through the tongue alone would bleed like a mother. And I don't care if you say it's because it killed the demon (hence the static), the host still died. There should have been blood. She should have been quite bloody.
2. Did you notice that the knife had a lot of um... Chunky Gore on the it when she finished killing Pride? Because no matter how much blood there was, pushing that knife in where she did and then pulling it out wouldn't result in pre-congealed blood.

It's driving me nuts having been spoiled so much. I mean, insanely spoiled. I seriously, essentially, know everything up to episode 9. And it drives me nuts reading people thinking about what it can and cannot be and I just want to reply with emphatic "NO!"s and "YES!"s.

It's like when you stumble upon a group of people that have only seen the first season of Lost or some other "twistee" show. They're making both good and bad assumptions and you just want to run over and go "Yes, yes, wtf, yes, No, no, sometimes". It's like that when I read everything here. Guh. Must. Resist. It's like because I've found out stuff regarding so many more episodes, it feels like everyone else should know too, and then I have to take myself out and go "No. Other people are creeper spoiler-whores like you"

*sigh* That's the cost of needing to know.

Tamara’s accent was really jarring.

Lightbulb! I couldn't put my finger on it, but I think this is part of the reason I really disliked her. She's not American. And this show has always had a distinctly American feel. It has American attitudes, it's set in America's backroads, it deals with American/Americanized myths and legends (well, used to), and it has dyed-in-the-wool American blue-collar heroes. Her obvious and unremarked-upon foreignness disrupted that.

God I miss season 1.

I completely agree with you about season 1. Hell, at this point, I miss season 2. I even miss that period between season 2 and when information started coming out where there was still a feeling of unknowing and hope.... and then they were dashed. :( lol

It wasn't that she was British and not American for me. What really put me off of her was the horrible acting. Her accent was so exaggerated that I really don't think it was real. She sounded like a drunken Lily Allen. And her acting was just horrible. Oh yes, we totally bought the "I'm vicious! GRRRR" thing. Um, no. The worst part was when Isaac was guzzling the magical "instant-death" chemicals. Her "Gasp" was so unnatural that she might as well said the word "gasp". And her begging was equally unbelievable.

As a hater of "How She Was Originally Written!Jo" and an apathetic accepter of "How She Was Shown After Bitchery!Jo", I can honestly say I'd rather have Jo come back than Tamara.

And speaking of hunters. I'm so over the idea of "expanding the Winchester's world". I'd much rather have the strong emotional attachment to the core members of this world than to randomly add unnecessary people. Is it really necessary to bring in other hunters and such? Then it just becomes the "Sam and Dean Help Other Hunters Do Shit Show". I didn't sign up for this. Nor did I fight so hard to keep this show for the tripe that we're being handed.

Don't get me wrong. I've been a proponent for Supernatural forever. I was all about the postcards, petitions, etc. But here is a very critical review in the form of notes I took during the show of episode 3.01 "The Magnificent Seven". I love Supernatural, but I don't like where it's going. But I'm giving it a chance. So here are my thoughts, throughout the episode. Be aware that I'm seriously like a crack addled chimp and found amusement in odd things and it reads more humor than serious business. Though I totally mean it all.

3.01 “The Magnificent Seven”

Part 1: Opening

+Poor what I assume is Jealousy.... You and your scruffy beard. I'm sorry your beard, I mean, your car is dirty and your trash cans are rumbling.

+Hmmmm. The crazy worm-like thunderstorm shooting out willy nilly and entering people. Men In Black all over again. But instead of cockroach aliens, we have clouds. Ooooo. Clouds.

+New opening! ... edgier? Don't know if I love or loathe.

Part 2: After Opening

+One Week later, you say.

+Oh God. That blatant sex sex sex. And out of character... WTF. So uncool. *hate*

+Music cannot even save this scene.

+New scene... but seriously. Still on horrible sex scene. Worst sex scene ever. EVER. Worst OOC. Worst setup. Worst WORST.

+Anyone with long hair knows that even without supposedly being able to “kick-ass” at the drop of a hat, you don't just walk around with your hair perfectly split into 3 parts with 2 of them in front of your shoulders. The natural position of people with long (and especially curly) hair is to put it in the back. ACCURACY MAKES BABY JESUS STOP CRYING (at this point his crying is defaulted, so now we must make it stop).

I'm kind of disappointed that there weren't any major “HOLY SHIT” moments. There wasn't any “HOLY SHIT” moments in the season finale either, not really.

Rating taking into account the previous episodes and how seasons 1 and 2 opened:

C, They can do SO much better. They completely backtracked characters. Lost all depth of character, especially with Dean. The cinematographer sucked. The artistry that has been around for the previous 2 seasons isn't there.

Rating without thinking about previous episodes and how they can do better:

B, I didn't LOATHE it with intensity. I certainly didn't like it. But I didn't loathe it. It was... meh. Forgettable.

So. Back in the day, I made, I believe the term is a "Shit ton" of macros of the 'Tall Tales' Director's Cuts. Random things that amused the Flying Bejesus out of me and still do. Nobody was particularly interested so I stuck them in my Photobucket to rot (which is a good thing because when my old laptop died, taking all fics I had started/finished/ideas/pics/etc with it, I lost them all). But 'lo and behold, I have decided to unearth a couple. Reaction = Positive = MOAR! Reaction = Negative = NO MOAR!

Okay, seriously? That's a very small portion of the crack that comes out of my head. I have alot. A. Lot. of backed up pseudo-macros ala MS Paint. Behold my elegance.

Okay So I admit that I'm a fan and part of what is commonly known as the "Anonymous" webpage. Foxnews (shutter) and others have blamed this page for many stalkings, etc. But whatever. Well, someone googled the phrase "worst fic ever".

You come up with a 44 chapter fic from hell of the Harry Potter variety titled "My Immortal". It makes me want to burn my eyes out. It has over 6000 reviews of loathing. Here are a few of my favorite.

Disney in Adulthood

The last few days have been full of me downloading basically all of the Disney Soundtrack's from my childhood. 'Aladdin', 'Beauty and Beast', 'Cinderella', 'Little Mermaid'. There are two major things that strike me:

1. Why don't they make movies like this anymore. These were the films that could be enjoyed by adults and children alike. But now Disney produces such... juvenile films. The old Disney always seemed to have a deeper meaning that I adored. Plus, I miss musicals. Going to the theater to see the newest Disney Princess/Musical was the highlight of the my childhood.

2. The lyrics to the songs in these movies are far more adult than I remember. For example there are bits and pieces of things in the lyrics of 'Beauty and Beast' that I never connected with as a child. Now it's just *ding* NOW it makes sense. I GET IT NOW.

It's almost like watching them all over again anew, and I LOVE IT.

Where do I get inspiration for my arts and crafts? Through anger and oddities. The anger or otherwise strong feelings compel me to work on, begin, engage in my art, or craft if you'd rather. It's the oddities that inspire me to do what I do. It's those random things that happen day to day that spark something in your mind. Those little things that you remember for weeks but they have no real meaning until you make them into what you want them to mean.

This is a repost of the comment / rant that I posted on a certain community that is near and dear to my heart. I decided to post it here as to keep my rants all nicely filed for future reference.

Rant Regard Ruby on the Promo, the Promo, and *Angst*

I have to admit that the promo gave me a BIT more hope. A little. A Tad. A Smidgen. I think that's based completely on the fact that there was no Bela. I'm so over the damn "I'm the girl that just saved your ass" or whatever the hell Ruby says.

I did notice that the graphics were quite cheesy, but far more expensive than prior seasons. But when it comes down to it, the feel of the promo just didn't seem to jive with the way the show has been constructed up until now.

I know I've ranted before about how originally there was an almost filter of darkness on the actual visual film of the show. And then after much bitching by "Oh, why don't they ever have NICE things happen to them. This show is too dark" people, it got lighter. Did anyone notice an almost... yellow(?) tinge to that? I immediately thought of candle light. But that still bothers me because my immediate connotation is things are now golden (was dark, light). And when did things become gold-like? When the girl's came and Kripke sold out.

I do like the idea of almost suicidal!Sam, though. If they DO end the show at the end of this season, I would love a "Dean dies" and then "Sam commits suicide" scenario.

And, seriously. If the girls' fighting, etc is going to be like what we've seen so far, I am not. amused. What the hell is holding a knife in your hand like that and pulling up going to do? If she was holding it correctly and pulled up? Yes, that would do some damage. If she held it the way she is holding it here and then pulled down? Yes, that would do some damage. But no. She holds it the one way that would do. jack. shit. Plus, if someone grabs her arm, the knife is pointing TOWARDS. HER. BODY. Take her arm/hand and push it towards her and she stabs herself. Done deal.

My disappointment knows no bounds.

You will now find that Katie Cassidy portraying Ruby is blessed with first credit. Jensen and Jared and all the other characters are down in the alphabetical order section. I don't know about anyone else, but my hatred for Ruby and Bela just keeps increasing exponentially.

I seriously need to fix my journal. I had it all personalized and everything and then all of a sudden whenever I tried to post icons or pictures or basically anything that wasn't text, it would go haywire. Damn, I don't even know how to start. Last time I just had my roommate fiddle with it until it was done, lol. *sigh*. I miss my Jess/Supernatural header. But my old layout was also very.... bright. I think I want something dark this time. Evil, if you will. I'm going to need to bust out the photoshop and try to figure out how it works and then trial and error screw up my journal, lol.

So, if anyone wants to make me a layout that won't ruin my LJ (which mine inevitably will), I'll love you forever.

On top of the fact that this interview with Korbi *shudder* from Kristen on E!Online *Shudder shudder* with Lauren and Katie seem so.... snobbish. I mean, my God. They act as if female fans are preteens and that they are for sure the love interests of the guys. They act like they ARE the new main characters. Plus, Katie looks quite anorexic.
